partridge in a pear tree: chris’s pear sangria

For those of you that have kept up with chris’s corner, you know that it comes with a 3-drink minimum. Last year at Thanksgiving, he whipped this up to bring to our annual festivities. It was a hit.

I am a fan of neither white wine nor vodka but that didn’t stop me from mainlining this drink all night long. I actually ended up calling into work the next day and topped it off with a walk of shame home after spooning Merle, the mini Australian Shepherd, in Kyle’s guest bedroom.

This year, after lots and lots of heavy drinking test runs, Chris has perfected the recipe. It will throw you around the room, but in a good way. Serve this up at your next holiday party… or Thursday morning.
